About the event
“Her cuisine is a little limited, but she has as good an idea of breakfast as a Scotchwoman.”— The Naval Treaty
Sherlock Holmes isn’t often associated with food. But meals are given careful detail (especially for Watson) throughout the stories by Edinburgh native Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Indeed, there are enough to inspire a cookbook - “Dining with Sherlock Holmes” - created by The Baker Street Irregulars society in consultation with the CIA. (Not that one, the Culinary Institute of America.)
Inspired by the classic tale "The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle," you'll learn how to prepare a traditional Victorian goose just as Mrs. Henry Baker would have served in Holmes' time.
Perfect for food lovers and mystery enthusiasts alike, this lunch and learn will transport you to the heart of Christmas in Victorian Britain!
